To be determined.
Description: This is your opportunity to develop and improve your artistic skills while relaxing at a beautiful mountaintop Bed and Breakfast, with spacious outdoor decks and well-lit interior studio spaces overlooking scenic Penns Valley. You will be given instruction on the mixing of colors and the various ways of using both oil and acrylic paints. You will also be encouraged to develop and refine your artistic eye in learning to see the true colors in the world around you as well as the fascinating compositional possibilities on all sides. Above all, you will be mentored in finding your own favorite ways of painting, rather than copying the methods of your instructor. Suitable to all skill levels. Come prepared to enjoy the whole experience and gain confidence in your creative pursuits.
Instructional and mentored painting schedule: Friday 2 pm - 6 pm, Saturday 9 am - 12 noon and 1:30 - 5 pm, Saturday evening 7:30-9:00 social time, Sunday breakfast wrap up and review (Overnight participants, day painters welcome to come if they like. Question- extra charge if they come for breakfast? Some probably wouldn't want to make the additional drive.). Lunches are catered. Dinners are on your own, with several excellent restaurant choices nearby.
Non-painting spouses or friends sharing the same room are welcome at a reduced total rate. There will also be a limited number of spaces for day participants at the Day Retreat rate, which includes the catered lunch. The maximum number of painting participants will be 12.
Instructor and mentor Karl Eric Leitzel is well known throughout central Pennsylvania and beyond for his wide range of stylistic approaches in both oil and acrylic, depicting subject matter that includes the landscape, animals and flowers, and people going about their activities.
